PaintCare / “Buy Right”

Commercial Video Case Study: PaintCare / “Buy Right”

Industry: Non-Profit

Video Type: Commercial

Production Style: TV Campaign

Client: PaintCare

Duration: 30 Seconds

PaintCare is a US non-profit organization that encourages people to use less paint, and has recycling depots set up in paint stores across the country so that consumers have a place to ethically recycle their leftover paint.  The Martin Group, a Buffalo-based ad agency, hired Minifridge Media in 2023 to produce a mockumentary-style commercial ad campaign for the non-profit. The result was an award-winning smash success, so they came back in 2025 to request another campaign!

This time around, we went in a totally different direction: we focused on 1 ‘Host’ character who breaks the fourth wall and talks directly to the audience, laying out the 3 Simple Rules for Painting Smarter in a direct and humorous way. This project was a massive undertaking, as we had to build an entire set in a studio that was a hybrid of a 1960s game show and an infomercial, and we shot 6 unique spots in a single day. The resulting video is engaging and hilarious and continues our successful collaboration with both The Martin Group and PaintCare.

This video, entitled "Buy Right," is Part 1 in the 3-Part Series. You can also watch Part 2 and Part 3!

Retell AI / “SWTCH Customer Story”

Corporate Video Case Study: Retell AI /
“SWTCH Customer Story”

Industry: AI Agentic Software

Video Type: Corporate Video

Production Style: Customer Story

Client: Retell AI

Duration: 3 Minutes

Retell AI’s game-changing technology allows customers to receive help from very human-like AI voice agents on support calls and promises to revolutionize the support centre industry forever. One of Retell’s happiest clients is SWTCH Energy, an EV charging company located in Etobicoke. SWTCH agreed to be profiled in a case study video, so the San Francisco-based Retell deployed Minifridge to SWTCH’s office to make the video happen.

Minifridge Media put together a small, efficient crew and travelled to Etobicoke on a sunny day this fall to shoot an interview with SWTCH’s CEO, Carter Li, as well as capture footage of their office, staff and operations. The most interesting part of the shoot, and the resulting video, was when Carter tested Retell’s technology live on camera by calling one of their AI support agents pretending to be a customer in need. The Retell agent was able to solve Carter’s problem and resolve the ticket without getting a human involved, proving on-camera just how helpful Retell is for businesses who need a large support centre but can’t afford a huge staff.
