Why High-Quality Video
Production is Essential
A video concept can only go as far as the production behind it. That means that what happens on set determines everything that follows in post-production.
Poor lighting? Hard to fix in an edit suite.
Audio not captured cleanly? It stays that way.
Unprepared crew? That's a reshoot and an executive's time isn't easy to get back.
Overall, cutting corners at the production stage creates a ripple effect…
…rushed shoots lead to missing coverage,
…poor sound degrades viewer experience, and
….inconsistent visuals make your video harder to use across platforms.
For organizations where the final video reflects directly on leadership and brand reputation, that's a risk worth avoiding.
Here's what our video production agency brings to every shoot:
-
- Cinematic image quality that holds up across broadcast, digital, and social platforms
-
- Clean, professional audio that keeps your audience engaged from the first word
-
- Natural, credible performances from real people (executives, staff, or actors) who feel comfortable on set
-
- A consistent visual look and feel that strengthens your brand perception
-
- Footage that is immediately usable, organized, backed up, and ready for post-production
-
- A shoot day that runs on schedule, respects everyone's time, and doesn't require you to manage logistics yourself
PRODUCTION SERVICES
Minifridge Media handles every element of the production stage from the moment a crew arrives on location all the way to the final footage handoff.
Filming & Cinematography
We shoot on-location or in-studio using professional cinema and broadcast cameras suited to your project's scale and distribution format. If your video is headed for broadcast TV, a corporate intranet, or a paid social campaign, we choose the camera system and settings accordingly.
Our cinematographers bring an eye for composition and the technical know-how to back it up to every frame. It ensures your footage is sharp, dynamic, and worth watching.
Lighting & Sound
Lighting shapes how your people and environments look on camera. Our lighting crew rigs setups that flatter subjects, control the atmosphere, and maintain consistency across multiple angles and locations.
On the audio side, our sound recordists use professional microphones and monitoring equipment to capture clean, broadcast-quality dialogue and ambient sound. It minimizes post-production cleanup and you end up with a video that sounds clear to your viewers.
Directing & Crew Coordination
Every Minifridge Media shoot is director-led. We manage on-camera talent and we’re experienced working with nervous first-time interviewees, senior executives, or professional actors. We use the kind of calm and experienced direction that produces natural, usable performances.
Behind the camera, we also coordinate crew roles, manage shot lists, and keep the day running on schedule. You don't have to manage the set. We do.
Set & Production Design
We handle set design, props, styling, and art direction for projects that require it. This applies to scripted commercials and brand films where the visual environment is as important as the subject.
We source props, coordinate wardrobe options, and ensure the background and staging reinforce your brand and story rather than distract from it.
Specialized Equipment & Techniques
We deploy specialized production tools when the project calls for it: drones for aerial footage, gimbals for smooth moving shots, crane setups for elevated angles, and high-frame-rate cameras for slow-motion sequences.
We use these techniques intentionally to serve the story and the brief, not as a default. Every equipment decision we make is to ensure the visual quality of your specific project.
Multi-Format & Multi-Platform Filming
We film with delivery formats in mind from the start. If your video is going to live in multiple aspect ratios — 16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for Instagram Reels, 1:1 for LinkedIn — we capture coverage that works across all of them.
We also produce for multilingual delivery when required, including bilingual subtitle and caption formatting (English and French). You receive footage that's immediately deployable across every platform you need.
How We Execute Your Video Project
Minifridge Media’s video production process is structured, not improvised. To give you an idea of what to expect, here's what you can expect to get a typical shoot together.
-
- Pre-Production Handoff: We receive final scripts, storyboards, or shot lists from the creative stage, evaluate locations during a tech scout, and ensure the environment is camera-ready (Not there yet? Our Creative Strategy & Pre-Production service handles this preliminary work on your behalf).
-
- Shoot Planning: We assemble and brief the crew, prepare and confirm the equipment, distribute call sheets, and talent or interview subjects receive clear logistics instructions.
-
- Principal Photography: We execute the shoot according to plan, making sure to capture all the required angles, interviews, B-roll, and coverage. Every crew member knows their role. Every subject on camera knows what's expected of them.
-
- On-Set Quality Assurance: Throughout the shoot, we monitor image and audio quality in real time, adjust lighting and sound as conditions change, and flag any coverage gaps before wrapping.
-
- Footage Review and Backup: We review and back up all footage to redundant drives before the crew leaves. Nothing leaves the set unverified.
A standard corporate shoot typically runs a half day to a full day, while a commercial production may span up to 3 days with several weeks of pre-production preparation.
Throughout the entire process, your point of contact is available, communication is clear, and you'll always know what's happening and what comes next.
What Sets Us Apart
Minifridge Media has been producing professional videos in Toronto since 2016. In that time, we've worked with mid-size companies and multinationals, Toronto ad agencies, international production companies, and global brands, such as Pepsi, Ford, NHL, GQ, and Vogue. We’ve handled everything from corporate videos and commercials to celebrity interviews and multi-city content series.
What clients tell us again and again is that working with Minifridge Media feels different from working with other production companies. Not because we're flashier, but because we're prepared, organized, calm under pressure, and provide high-quality commercial and corporate videos.
We show up with the right crew for the right job. We anticipate issues before they become problems. And we treat every person on set with professionalism and respect.
In practice, here’s what that looks like:
- Producer-led shoots with clear accountability from start to finish
- Experienced directors who know how to get natural, credible performances from real people (not just trained talent)
- Broadcast-quality camera, lighting, and sound equipment scaled to your project
- Deep familiarity with Toronto locations, permitting, and local logistics
- Proven track record with organizations like BASF, Dentalcorp, Flight Centre, GQ, and global production partners
Video Types and Use Cases
We handle a wide range of video types and formats, each with a specific goal in mind for our clients. Depending on the scope of work, we offer the following:
Corporate & Brand Films
Interview-driven videos that communicate your organization's story, values, culture, or impact. These are used for recruitment, stakeholder communication, public affairs, internal alignment, and brand positioning.
Typically, you can expect 1–2 shoot days, interviews plus B-roll, with a polished final film that holds up in boardrooms and on websites.
Commercials & AD Campaigns
Scripted, actor-driven commercials built for paid media like broadcast TV, YouTube pre-roll, and paid social platforms. Full pre-production, professional cast and crew, multiple deliverable formats. This is the kind of video production that competes visually with national advertising.
Customer Stories & Case Studies
On-location interviews with real clients or partners that showcase how your product or service delivers results. Great for B2B sales, website content, and global content series where one city is part of a multi-location shoot.
Event Coverage & Live Filming
Multi-camera documentation of corporate conference events, AGMs, retreats, and activation. We capture keynotes, presentations, candid moments, and behind-the-scenes footage to give you a full record of the event and edited highlight content for every platform.
Social Media Content
Short-form video optimized for Reels, Stories, TikTok, and LinkedIn. We shoot these in vertical and square formats from the start, not cropped from a wider cut. Efficient to produce, immediately deployable, and built to perform in feeds.
Our Work in Video Production
Case Study — PaintCare “The Enviro‑Influencer”
Corporate Traveller helps businesses manage their travel and along the way, their travel managers accumulate a lot of great stories. Minifridge Media collaborated with Corporate Traveller to develop and produce "Meet Our Travel Managers," a multi-video series shot at their downtown Toronto headquarters.
This was a full-service project. Minifridge Media developed the series concept, directed the on-camera interviews, handled all lighting and sound on location, and managed the complete post-production pipeline. The result: 11 videos delivered in both 16:9 and 9:16 formats, with English and French subtitles, a ready-to-deploy content library that gave Corporate Traveller a warm, human presence across every platform they needed.
Commercial Production: ContentEngine — "The Bluecoats"
ContentEngine is an AI platform that helps businesses create industry-specific content. To launch with impact, they needed a commercial that was clever, cinematic, and memorable.
Their concept: two American soldiers in the Revolutionary War who can't keep up with their social media posts…until they discover ContentEngine.
Minifridge Media handled the entire production: casting, location sourcing, costume and prop coordination, on-set direction, and full post-production. The challenge was scale…three complete commercials produced in a single shoot day. The result was “The BlueCoats”, a polished, cinematic series of spots that demonstrated exactly how ContentEngine works, in a format audiences would actually watch.
